Summer.

I am Mareen Fischinger, a photographer in Düsseldorf, Germany.

This blog shows some of my personal life. I mobile-post behind the scene photos and ideas, too – in no specific order.

While I am at it, I am selling my car!

Getting lost in some Google Maps worlds. Interesting, with photos if you have never been there.
Does building (A) know that it has the worldwide address “Buenos Aires, Argentina” and everyone is being pointed there? They should make use of that with their roof for future Satellite images!
And what is the deal with Argentina being anonymous trough the regular cartographic view?

Oh, I forgot about this because I was in Berlin when it was published:I sometimes shoot for Karriere, a magazine for young people and their studies and future businessy careers. This annual graduation issue has several images I took especially for them, in a certain weekend shoot I did in March, one day before I left to go to NY.
This is how it works:They call me, tell me about the topic, I ask questions, jot down my thoughts, do scribbles, we meet up, they say ok, I write an offer, they say go, and then I do it.Above is one of the image pairs about financing your studies. I did versions with guy/girl and laptop/book/etc.+++
Here is another one about perfectioning your profile on the web:
+++Sometimes I don’t know why they chose certain ones that might not even make sense as single images and were only thought of as follow-ups on further pages:

Making of this one, she really had a hammer. There were more images in that magazine, but I don’t want to be overly exact here.

I remember taking this in April. My eye + finger on the shutter release were faster than the warning that my head would spit out: Stefan will be very mad at you when he goes half-way blind for a couple of minutes.

Since this morning.

Sounds exactly as if there were Police (Stasi?) in the apartment underneath me. I can hear communication via some radio devices etc.

If I weren’t sure that I am crime-free, I would be scared. Maybe I should be scared about living in a house where… err whatever.

  • Today is such a mundane day and I didn’t feel very good all day.
  • All of my hard drives are fuller than ever and nothing seems to fit anywhere.
  • I am not going any of the parties because I don’t like the meet&greet&talk-nothings.
Freetard: an individual who holds the ultimately self-defeating proposition that all content should be accessible for free on the internet… BPI’s CEO Geoff Taylor (via gtmcknight)

“Wat have i done wrong to you…

“Wat have i done wrong to you…are you too good to be talked to by the likes of me…wow fame is getting to your head…wait a minute your not even famous…well its true you cant judge a book by its cover…and thats defo true with you…you seem friendly but ha boy i was wrong…removing u as contact why wud i want a bitch” - Amanada’s Vimeo Account

Great news!  If you ever want to be a bitch just don’t respond to a stranger’s email. (via creepy)

Haha, I get messages like this, too. So funny.

[…] I’ve never gotten extremely involved with or shown how much I’ve known or followed the people who made vimeo/worked in the cv offices, but the things that they (and the people like them) do have changed my life. I know so much more now because of Tumblr, I learn a million new things every day. After watching countless videos on Vimeo I am inspired and have people to both idolize and laugh at. I get so much insight on so many things and have tons of new goals and teachers better than any I’ve ever had in school. Don’t fuck with these people. Please. (I mean… Holy crap.) lapoor about “I’ve had Enough” from Jakob.
The internet grew up today.
Web regulators Thursday voted to allow the creation of thousands of new domain names, from .paris to .Pepsi, in one of the biggest shake-ups in Internet history…
Currently all web addresses fall under one of some 250 top-level domain names: .country or .territory domains, and generic ones such as .com, .net and .org, .gov, and .edu.
Under the new system, the web’s 1.3 billion users would be able from 2009 to buy an unlimited number of generic addresses based on common words, brands or company names, cities or proper names.

Testing the (most advanced) Lensbaby 3G.
Anyway, it is pretty crappy (I didn’t expect much), and what you see it not what you get. For example, I focus and fix on some specific book back letters, and they turn out blurry after all.
This photo is the best out of 20!
